Pemberton Music Festival has been cancelled this year.

The festival’s website now has a statement posted on it, just an hour after a number of news outlets had started reporting on the story.

The big question now is, if you bought tickets will you be able to get your money back?

In the statement on the Pemberton website:

“Unfortunately there are no automatic refunds from PMF. As PMF is now in bankruptcy, it has no ability to provide refunds for tickets purchased.”

“Refunds may be available to ticketholders from third parties if tickets were purchased using a credit card. As each bank and credit card issuer have their own specific policies, ticketholders are to contact their bank or credit card issuer directly to determine whether a refund can be obtained.”

So the answer right now I guess is maybe? But it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be easy.

This news comes as quite as shock as just yesterday, the musical festival was posting on social media about their excitement for the upcoming event.

Originally, the festival was scheduled for July 13-16 and included Chance the Rapper, A Tribe Called Quest, Major Lazer and more. The Festival had a number of set backs this year, including getting their line up out. The original announcement had to pushed multiple times and wasn’t released until a few weeks ago.

The social media accounts for the festival have since been deleted and details are still continuing to come in.
